AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
Love This Want This: Mini Museum Staff Favorites An online exhibition curated by the Mini Museum
MINI was invited to curate an online exhibition for NIAD, a progressive art studio promoting meaningful independent living by artists with disabilities. Love This Want This: Mini Museum Staff Favorites. See it here https://niadartstore.org/collections/125
We at MINI love art. We love looking at it and connecting to it, but too often that joy takes a back seat to the business of running an organization. For this opportunity, we indulged in the glee of looking through a wonderful catalogue of art and simply picking our favorites. We were guided by that gut feeling of seeing something and immediately thinking, "I love this. I want this." Each department had to narrow their choices down to 1-2 works and the end result is a grouping of art that we wish we could stare at in person for hours. We love these works. Departments involved include: Curatorial, Education and Community Development, Public Relations and Communications, Installation, Conservation, Finance, Executive Leadership, Development, Archives and Internships.
Awards - MINI MUSEUM was the proud recipient of a WOO (Window of Opportunity) Grant from the Leeway Foundation! This generous funding will enabled us to move forward with our September 2017 exhibition and one community outreach workshop. MINI is deeply grateful for Leeway's support and recognition We would like to also acknowledge the great work of our Development Department who work tirelessly to generate funding and our Curatorial and Education Departments, who execute important, community-relevant projects and programming.
Recognition - MINI MUSEUM was voted 2021 Best Museum You've Never Heard of #2 by Philly Magazine. https://www.phillymag.com/best-of-philly/?bestof_search=mini+museum&s=1#

Think your miniature artwork is good enough to be included in our collection? It probably is and we would love to have it. Preference is given to artworks that are smaller than 4" X 4". Nothing beyond 6" in any direction (including a frame) can be considered. Our Framing and Installation Dept will review each unframed piece to determine if a frame would be appropriate. (No frame color or styles can be requested.) Pieces can be mailed directly to Framing and Installations, MINI Museum, 1204 Wakefield Road, Flourtown, PA 19031. Please note, MINI is not able to purchase any artworks. All submissions to the permanent collection must be donated and all donations are final.
